What is InteGIRLS?
Vancouver INTEGIRLS is a chapter of the award-winning global 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization INTEGIRLS that is committed to sharing opportunities, such as math competitions, puzzle hunts, and research programs, for minority genders in STEM.
At INTEGIRLS, we want to promote the opportunity to get more girls and gender diverse individuals involved in STEM and mathematics, and we would greatly appreciate it if you would help us out! We hope you will consider collaborating with us, now and in the future, to inspire more people to follow their passions.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gender gap in STEM by empowering, educating, and advocating for girls and non-binary individuals impacted by (trans)misogyny.
At the Vancouver Chapter, we strive to create inclusive environments that foster innovation, collaboration, and equity in STEM fields. Through targeted programs, we aim to develop new opportunities and inspire future generations of diverse leaders. Together, we are building a foundation for change, where everyone has the opportunity to pursue their passions without hesitation!
Vancouver INTEGIRLS
Our chapter organizes bi-annual math competitions and hosts the Femmes in STEM podcast.
Every Spring and Fall, we aim to create a community for individuals impacted by trans(misogyny) to pursue their interests in math. Through these competitions, our chapter hopes to participate in bridging the gender gap in competitive problem-solving.
We upload on Spotify every Monday to celebrate the stories of amazing "femmes" in science, technology, engineering, or math! Each week, we either interview individuals making an impact in STEM or share a biography through a "Reviewed" episode. Our audience grows with every episode, and we can't wait to continue changing the game, one story at a time!!
